OUR MISSION

Why we exist:
To lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by loving God and loving people.

La razón por lo cual existimos:
Para guiar a las personas a una relación más cercana con Jesucristo a través de amando a Dios y amando a las personas.

Our Programs

Kid Zone

Children matter to Jesus, and they matter to us!

Our children's ministry creates fun and engaging environments where we present biblical truths through games, and interactive learning. We help kids to trust God no matter what, treat others the way Jesus would, and to always make the wise choice.

Kids environments are available during the sermon time of our worship service. We also create opportunities for the kids to connect with each other in fun, interactive activities.

We also want to partner with parents so kids are growing in their relationship with Jesus at home too. The average church has 40 hours a year to influence kids. The average parent has 3,000 hours. Materials are provided each week to help parents review the lessons taught on Sunday with their kids at home.

Food Pantry
Because no one should go without!

Serving those in our community through a Mobile Food Pantry the second and fourth Thursday of each month, on a first come, first serve basis. Simply drive up, tell us how many live in your home, how many over age 65, and how many under the age of 18.

Immigration Services

"You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt."
Leviticus 19:33-34

Citizenship classes are offered twice a year. We believe that after a person Naturalizes, they may want to learn more about their city and become a voice for those in their culture and language group. In order to facilitate this we offer Civic Engagement classes several times throughout the year. Those classes will be listed on our website and through our Social Media pages as they become available.

We also partner up with Immigrant Connection, Inc which is dedicated to providing low-cost confidential legal services to individuals who are eligible to apply for immigration benefits. Their Representatives are accredited by the Department of Justice, providing consultations on immigration questions, preparing complex immigration forms, and giving honest, competent legal advice

Pastor Madelyn Martinez-Blackwell

Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Madelyn was born in Cuba and immigrated to the United States in 1970 with her family. Her parents planted a church in 1975 that started in their basement. Madelyn remembers that as a child, her bedroom became a Sunday School room every Sunday. Outgrowing the space in the basement, a local church loaned them space and eventually they purchased their own building.

It seems that Pastor Madelyn followed in her parent's footsteps after going to Northeastern Bible College as well as taking courses leading up to her being a Commissioned Minister by the Wesleyan Church. She felt the call to plant a church in Garden City, KS which like her parents, began in her home in 2018 and in 2020 purchased their first building.

Pastor Madelyn is happily married and enjoys swimming, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with immigrants, learning about them, their countries, and their cultures.
